Kim Z. Franklin is the Main Line Bead Society's Artist of the Month. Kim was a graphic illustrator for sixteen years prior to being a full time beadwork artist and instructor. In the past thirteen years, her multimedia sculptures, which are a combination of beadwork, off loom techniques, ceramics, and metalwork have earned her many awards and honors. She
most recently was published in Larks book 500 Beaded Objects. Kim Z. was accepted into Bead International 2004 where she won the "most Innovative Use of the Medium." Her teaching credentials include authoring articles for Step by Step Beads and Lapidary Journal Magazines and teaching at BeadFest and other symposiums. She was recently published in The Beaded Garden by Diane Fitzgerald and her work will appear at Bead International 2006. We are honored to have Kim Z. speak at our meeting!
