August brings you yet another fabulous technique to learn! Please join us for a few hours on August 6, to learn or (if you already know this technique) to weave with friends beautiful variations on the Herringbone stitch.
Bring your seed beads, needles and supplies to sit and bead with friends under the direction of some of our very accomplished teachers. The goal is to familiarize you with the world of seed weaving and it's many variations and techniques.
Here is the supply list of things to bring to the meeting:
Basic Stitch:
Seed Beads: 2 contrasting colors of size 8/0 seed beads.
Thread: Fireline (6 lb. test), or Nymo D, C-LON, or Silamide
Thread conditioner: beeswax, synthetic beeswax or Thread Heaven.
Beading needle size 10 or 12 or large eyed needle.
Bead mat
Scissors
Optional: Magnifying glasses, Ott Light
For Tubular Herringbone:
Seed Beads: 2 contrasting colors of size 8/0 seed beads.
Thread: Nymo D, C-LON thread, Silamide or 6lb. Fireline (user preference).
Thread conditioner: beeswax, synthetic beeswax or Thread Heaven.
Beading needle size 10 or 12.
A slender dowel, about the diameter of a small bamboo skewer. You can use any of the following as a dowel: bamboo skewer, knitting needle, WaWA red coffee stirrer, or a plastic straw as a dowel. The dowel is used to support the tube while stitching.

Scissors
Optional: Magnifying glasses, Ott Light
