Featured Artist - Linda Gettings has always loved beads and jewelry, every since her mom bought her a set of pop beads on her 8th birthday.
However, she had to put them aside, go to school and head into the working community.
She married and had three children while working at Rodale Press in the magazine division as advertising production director for Prevention, Organic Gardening, Bicycling and Men’s Health magazine
Linda left Rodale after almost 20 years, jumped head first into beading and has never looked back!
She has written over 35 articles for Bead & Button, Beadwork, Bead World, Step by Step and is currently a contributing editor for Bead Patterns the magazine, a new on line magazine. You can also find her newest patterns at the sister sight. (www.bead-patterns.com)
Her first book, “Great Beaded Gifts” published by Sterling Publishing NYC, was released last year.
Linda is also teaching, selling her newest patterns and doing book signings with Innovative Beads Expo shows and Bead Fest Reading.
