Welcome to the Main Line Bead Society!
The Main Line Bead Society was formed in March 2006, by a group of very fabulous women, who just so happened to be Beaders! Their desire was to build a sense of community among those that have a passion for beads and wire work.
We invite anyone who shares our enthusiasm for beads, wire, clay, fiber and all things "jewelry related" to come join us at our monthly membership meetings.
Come and be inspired and ,inspire others with your creativity!
We'll both be glad you did!
And don't let the name fool you. The geographical area for the Main Line Bead Society reaches far and wide!

Here is what is new and happening!
~Fringe Fiesta~
- Next Meeting: Features a free class ~"Fringe Fiesta" ~from Buttercup Beads! Tuesday, July 14 at St, Matt's Lutheran Church in Springfield! 7-9pm. (<----Note: for July, the meeting is on the second, not third, Tuesday this month.) Buttercup Beads will supply everything you need to make this fun fringy summer bracelet the night of the meeting. Kits are just $25. Various Bead Soup color selections will be available. Additional "Soup Mixes" will also be available for purchase during the meeting. Please bring needles, and beading thread or fireline and crimping tool to the meeting. See the Bead Soup Recipe Page for additional information and list of supplies. Snacks and refreshments to share with the group are also welcomed at this and every meeting! -
- We need your orphan beads! Please drop off your donations in the Official Bead Jar at the next meeting. Beads, findings, spacers, wire, crimps, crystals everything and anything is needed for future outreach projects.

- Woo-hoo! Life just got easier - you can join or renew your membership online now through Paypal - check out the renew membership link on the menu to the right.
- We're in a gathering mood - gathering information on which is the best way to reach you --->New polls are up and running - hurry on over and cast your vote!
- Say, speaking of soirees & workshops - If you need to cancel, please remember to be courteous and call at least 48 hours ahead of time - so that we can then offer your seat to someone else, and more, so that we don't keep everyone else waiting. Kit fees are due at time of reservation, and are only refundable with appropriate cancellation notice. It's the responsible, and polite thing to do, doncha know...
- We're growing by leaps and bounds! Membership is still going strong - to help keep everyone on track - Please remember to show your membership card at the door. (It's a bookkeeping thing, and Carol and Ronni's memory ain't what it used to be, doncha know...) Renewal time is here! Please remember to renew your membership online or by mail, or at the next meeting. Valid membership ensures your discounts at local bead shops too!
- Make new friends while beading! Get help with a project - or learn new tips. Come to one of our fun and famous "Bead Soirees!" New dates are now posted - be sure to check out our Bead Soiree Calendar for details. Contact Doreen Lester if you want to host a bead soiree in your own home. Call to reserve (or cancel) your seat. Bring a snack and /or beverage to share with the group. Slippers optional.
