Welcome to the Main Line Bead Society!
The Main Line Bead Society was formed by a group of very fabulous women (who just so happened to also be Beaders) in March 2006 out of a need to build a sense of community among those that have a passion for beads and wire work.  We invite anyone who has an enthusiasm to unite beads, with fiber, polymer, and wire work (or anything else for that matter) to come join us at our monthly membership meetings.  Come and be inspired and inspire others with your creativity!  We'll both be glad you did.

And don't let the name fool you. The geographical area for the Main Line Bead Society reaches far and wide!  We welcome anyone in the tri-state Philadelphia are to join us!

  Here is what is new and happening!

• Please join us for our next meeting Monday, June 2 from 7-9 pm. Come and see what's new from Beadalon!  Beadalon Representative, Meredith Roddy, will be presenting design options using existing and brand new products.  Free!  Come to the meeting to get a free roll of beading wire.  Meeting attendees wil be eligible for a Beadalon grand prize too!  Be a winner and join us on June 2nd.
• Woo-hoo!  Life just got easier - you can join or renew your membership online now through Paypal - check out the renew membership link on the menu to the right. 
• New soirees are now posted- Seating is limited, so please sign up early.  For details, click on our Calendar.  
• New poll up and running - hurry on over and cast your vote! 
• Say, speaking of soirees & workshops - If you need to cancel, please remember to be courteous and call at least 48 hours ahead of time - so that we can then offer your seat to someone else, and more, so that we don't keep everyone else waiting.  Kit fees are due at time of reservation, and are only refundable with appropriate cancellation notice.  It's the responsible, and polite thing to do, doncha know... 
•  We're growing by leaps and bounds!  Membership is still going strong - to help keep everyone on track - Please remember to show your membership card at the door.  (It's a bookkeeping thing, and Judy and Ronni's  memory ain't what it used to be, doncha know...)  Renewal time is here!  Please remember to renew your membership online or by mail, or at the next meeting. Valid membership ensures your discounts at local bead shops too! 
• New!  Check out new submissions over at The Creativity Gallery! Want to show us your work? Well, Alrighty then!  - Send jpeg pics of your work to Andrea Mazzenga at  Bbalderdash@aol.com.  Be sure to include "Creativity Submission" as the topic line.
• "Whoever said winning isn't everything - never had to fight cancer...." Please join in MLBS' - "The Beaded Warrior Project" by donating any pink, white, clear or crystal beads and findings at the monthy meetings.  Help us create an armor of love through this MLBS community beading event. • Make new friends while beading!  Get help with a project - or learn new tips.
